SAE Dubai offers a range of scholarships to assist students during their studies. Our scholarship program is about investing in future professionals and rewarding creative and academic excellence.

 

About our Scholarship Program

SAE offers scholarships to outstanding creative media applicants and those in financial need. SAE Scholarships are awarded to recognise creative talent coupled with academic excellence and outstanding leadership.

Final selection will be made two weeks prior to the start of each trimester.

Needs based scholarship

Needs Based Scholarships are awarded to high-achieving secondary school leavers who have demonstrated outstanding scholarly ability, strong leadership skills and creative potential, and who are most in need of financial assistance. The aim of this scholarship is to assist graduating secondary school students and provide them with an opportunity to develop skills and achieve their goals within the creative media industry.

Scholarship Award

Recipients will be entitled to a 1/3 academic scholarship towards a bachelor degree over the course of two years. Scholarships can be undertaken in one of the following disciplines:
Animation, Audio, Design, Film, or Games. 

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must satisfy the normal degree entry requirements :

  • Minimum 17 years old (turning 18 in the year of commencement)
  • Completion of Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (SSCE) or similar (guidelines available)
  • Applicants must be commencing students who have not previously studied with SAE

Application Process

Applications can be emailed to scholarships@saedubai.com (Please ensure the email subject line clearly states applicants name and Scholarship to which they are applying for).
Applicants also need to apply to enrol to study for the next intake.

  • Applications must include the following:
  • Cover letter (single A4 page) that details why you should receive a scholarship at SAE Institute Dubai. This should include a discription of your financial need.
  • An extensive portfolio showcasing samples of your best work Two references from your school or employer
  • Passport copy showing proof of age
  • Salary certificate of the guarantor (individual responsible for payment of the tuition fees) produced within the last six months
  • Bank statements of the guarantor (individual responsible for payment of the tuition fees) covering 6 months of active use. This statement should be from the account where salary is deposited

*As a guideline,we accept URL links provided along with your email application. Digital formats can include soundcloud, dropbox, youtube and other digital media channels. Your portfolio should include examples that display your best design skills, illustrations, showreels, audio files and other work relevant to the course you are applying for.

Scholarship Terms and Conditions

Scholarships Terms and Conditions

These scholarships are awarded in line with the following terms and conditions:

One (1)  part scholarship is offered for each SAE Institute Dubai degree course commencing on the 17th of January 2016, 1st of May 2016, and 4th of September 2016 on the following terms and conditions:

1.      All individuals that fulfil the entry requirements for an SAE degree course (http://dubai.sae.edu/en-gb/course_category/9144/Degree_Courses) may apply for this scholarship by completing the scholarship application form. The scholarship panel shall decide who will be awarded a scholarship based on the application submitted and its decision shall be final.
2.      The scholarship shall fund the tuition fees for the published trimester three and six units of the degree course. Tuition fees for all other units and all other fees associated with the course (Such as registration fees and resource fees) shall be payable by the student.
3.      The student shall devote his/her time and energy to his/her studies. All unit exams and research projects must be passed the first time.
4.      If the student fails to comply with these terms and conditions or behaves in a manner which would entitle SAE to terminate the student's attendance on the degree course, SAE has the right to terminate the scholarship immediately and to require that the student repay the part of the scholarship that has been used (e.g. if trimester three unit fees have been paid by the scholarship these must be refunded to SAE).
5.      The degree course must commence on the respective advertised date (17th of January 2016, 1st of May 2016, or 4th of September 2016) and the scholarship cannot be deferred or exchanged for any monetary value.
6.      The scholarship is conditional on the individual signing the Scholarship Agreement.
