SAE Dubai runs active social clubs with a busy schedule of fun events running throughout the year.

Week of Welcome

The idea behind the Week of Welcome is to not only welcome you into the SAE Community but also give you the chance to interact and network with your new peers, meet some of the faculty and staff.

DAY 1: Tuesday | 1st of Feb | 10:00 AM – 2:45 PM

Meet the Students Services team and discuss login details and what to expect during orientation. After that, get introduced to the Student Council members as they give you an exciting sneak peek of what to expect during your studies at SAE.

Join Mrs. Regine Mamburam who will then guide you on how to use the library resources.

The Supervisors will then give a brief presentation about the process of studio and equipment bookings.

Finally, catch up with the Student Council over an online game of Drawasaurus (online Pictionary) and some laughs to get you ready for the upcoming week.

DAY 2: Wednesday | 2nd of Feb | 12:00 PM – 2:45 PM

Meet our General Manager, Mr. Jan Horn as he welcomes you into the SAE family. Our Academic Director, Mrs. Jennifer Adams, will take you through a brief orientation about academic policies at SAE Dubai and the transition into college life.

Meet our head of student services, who will introduce you to the SAE team and give you a quick guide on student life and services.

You will also get to meet our experienced industry practitioners (your faculty) who will explain about the program you are enrolled in and answer any questions you have.

DAY 3: Thursday | 3rd of Feb | 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM

Join Mr. Qaiser Ajaz for a brief presentation on everything you need to know about using your student portal and online systems.

Learn more about your learning journals and study path with Mr. Randula De Silva.

The student council members have organized a few fun activities for you with prizes to be won!

DAY 4: Friday | 4th of February | 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM

After a whole week of orientation and activities, Student Services will be available from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. The first half-hour is for international students who will be given a short presentation and then connected with a student council point of contact.

The second half-hour is open to all students to meet with student services and clarify any questions or concerns.

Finally to end the week, join the student council for a popcorn party as we watch a movie online together from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Don’t forget to bring your popcorn!
