
Bio
Razan Takash is an award-winning Jordanian writer, director, and producer based in Dubai, UAE, with over 14 years of experience in the Middle East’s film and production industry, and 7 years in higher education teaching film and television production.
Her work spans from intimate indie films to regional television productions, as well as major Hollywood productions including Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Zero Dark 30.
Holding a Master of Fine Arts from the Red Sea Institute for Cinematic Arts, Razan has directed and produced multiple award-winning short films, including M1das and IDI, the latter earning her a nomination for Best Female Producer at the Toronto International Women Film Festival. Her acclaimed projects include the 48Hour Film Project 1st Place winner Shah Mat (2016) and a Mary Shelley Award nomination at the 2020 Other Worlds Austin Film Festival. Her sci-fi short M1das screened at over 24 international festivals, winning 14 awards, and was a finalist at the Burbank International Film Festival. She recently completed Karayr, a big-budget post-apocalyptic Arabic short film that she wrote and produced.
