Following the acquisition by twofour54 tadreeb, Dubai's SAE Institute now has its second new owner in less than a year. But what will this mean for the educational establishment?

The acquisition of Dubai's SAE Institute by media training academy twofour54 tadreeb will have come as a surprise to many. At the turn of the year, the whole SAE Group was purchased by Australian education services provider Navitas in a US$288 million deal. However, a few months later the Dubai branch has been purchased in a separate agreement.

'"The acquisition of the SAE Dubai business by twofour54 tadreeb is an acknowledgement of the high quality education and training that we offer. twofour54 tadreeb provides international standard training courses in partnership with some of the world's leading media organisations, so we are extremely excited to be working with them," explains SAE Institute Dubai campus manager Predrag Toncev. "We will continue to work and operate as the SAE Institute and do what we do best, " he continues. " Now, we just have bigger partners, better placement options for our graduates".

Having joined the Dubai SAE Institute as a teacher three and a half years ago, and worked his way up to the position of campus manager, Mr. Toncev is in a good position to comment about the inner workings of the Institute and is clear of the advantages the acquisition will bring to the SAE and more importantly to its students. "Obviously twofour54 tadreeb brings a lot of experience, a lot of potential," he explains. "We will be expanding our facilities as well. We will definitely refresh our current setting and we'll also be able to use twofour54 tadreeb's facilities in Abu Dhabi. We will now be present in two major cities," reveals the campus manager.

It's a good fit he continues, "one of twofour54 tadreeb's ongoing aims is to support and strengthen the Arabic talent pool across the region, and we hope that the acquisition brings tremendous benefits to the region's media industry and, significantly, to young UAE Nationals and Arabs who are interested in building a career in this sector."
