Ahmed Zuberi & Prince Alfonso recorded Lead vocals for the The Moonshine band who are one of the most established rock bands in the UAE, days later the band were on air for 103.8 FM. Hafsa Sheikh and Brenton Afonso assisted Andy Ward who recorded 4 songs for Dahab, an acoustic trio that blend arabic/folk fusion.
Shahin Mohammad assisted by Florian Mandet recorded for Still Waters, an up and coming Dubai-based rock trio. Former students Simon Tomkins and Meras A. recorded harp & cello virtuosos Lidia Stankoulovaa professional of the National Music Academy of Bulgaria & Aaron Kim who is an alumni of the Berklee College of Music. Movses Soghmonyan, Jeffrey Clark, Florian Mandet are running the live sound duties for The Afif Brothers, Hazel Brown, Carmen and Funk Radius at the Emirates Golf Club every Tuesday.
Dahab, Still Waters, Lidia, Aaron and the live events are managed and supplied by The Fridge.(www.thefridgedubai.com), who are making waves as a platform for great local music across broad genres, from classical, jazz to hiphop. Andy Ward is also mixing an album by Abtrakt Collision with the assistance of Aditi Jajal. Andy also recorded two songs on Abri’s new album released on their own label; Abri.
