Graphic Design Certificate
This course introduces its students to the world of graphic design and visual communication. The course equips you with professional skills enabling you to create and design your own publications for print.
The course will give you an overview of the complete professional Graphic Design production process: from the development of visual concepts and communication strategies, project planning and pitching to the design implementation in professional graphic software, pre-press, quality control and finally the successful presentation of the final product.

This course can be used as a ‘stepping stone’ for students who wish to progress to our more advanced qualifications, the Diploma of Multimedia and the BA (Hons) Multimedia Arts degree.
Contents: Design principles, typography, color theory, visual concepts, communication strategies, professional skills in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign, pre-press, design of symbols and logos, business cards, letterheads, advertisements, brochures, CD covers, posters and labels, project management.

Entry Requirements
Note: There are no academic requirements to participate in this programme. The only entry requirement is for the participant to be at least 17 years of age upon commencement of the course.
