HD DSLR (7D/5D MK II) Cinema Training

In this course, first-time filmmakers and photographers making the transition into video will be introduced to many of the core building blocks necessary to make their first short films.

Stefan(instructor) will provide an introduction to cinema theory and present information about gear designed to provide consistent results when using the latest HDDSL cameras.

We will explore the use of a variety of lenses, fluid heads, external monitors, follow focus units, JIBs and Sliders. Students will come away from this workshop with a good understanding of what tools hey need for their productions, and when and how to best use them. read more...

During this photographic workshop you will become familiar with the following theoretical aspects:

• The digital camera menu: Automatic (A), Program (P), Shutter Priority (S), Aperture Priority (Av), and Manual (M) exposure settings. White balance, resolution settings, camera flash, auto focus and macro setting.
• The control of ISO, aperture and shutter speed. Their relationship with each other and their adjustment in determining correct exposure.
• Elements of photographic composition and image structure.
• The aesthetics of monochrome and colour photography, and the development of an individual style.
